Yoga & hikes in the heart of the island of Lesbos
Réserver
Join us from May 1 to 8 for a yoga and hiking retreat on the picturesque island of Lesbos in the North East Aegean Sea!
Hosted by Elsa from Yogazaz and Leo of Gati Yoga, 2 teachers who are passionate about their job, this retreat is the perfect opportunity to deepen your yoga practice and challenge yourself by hiking while discovering Lesbos. From small charming villages to the peaks of the island, we will walk the Byzantine and Ottoman trails that crisscross Sappho Island.
In addition to the yoga classes and daily hikes on the program, this course is a great opportunity to learn the history of the island, discover the local fauna and flora, and visit traditional thermal baths to relax after walking. And of course, you can enjoy delicious traditional Greek cuisine made at home, which will satisfy both body and soul!
This retreat is accessible to everyone, regardless of your yoga experience.
On the walking side, the hikes planned on the program are of various difficulties, ranging from a simple 1-hour walk to a more demanding hike of 5 hours of walking, with steep passages and a positive altitude difference of 600m. Of course, you are free to give up taking part in one or more hikes if you feel that this is too demanding for you.
In short, This retreat is meant to be inclusive, because Léo and Elsa are committed to ensuring that this internship is a welcoming space for everyone, regardless of your age, gender, cultural origin or abilities.
Join us for this transformative retreat that embodies the essence of yoga — finding the union between body, mind, and soul — in harmony with nature. You will discover the richness of Greek culture and understand the philosophy of yoga from a new perspective with 2 experienced guides, to come out of this renewed and reinvigorated retreat!
Every day, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an in-depth yoga practice, in the warm atmosphere of the “Villa Daphné and Chloé”, a century-old building restored as a hotel and retreat place. Yoga classes will be taught either inside or outside, in a covered area nestled among olive trees, to allow you to fully immerse yourself in the natural environment of Lesbos. To complement these courses, we will offer 2 optional theoretical and practical yoga workshops, to allow you to discover the practice of yoga beyond what is taught in conventional studio classes.
The program also includes 5 hikes to 5 different locations on the island, so you can discover Lesbos' hidden peaks and shores! For a total immersion in Greek culture, we have also planned 3 outings to local taverns (restaurants), a visit to the traditional baths and a guided tour on the history of the island.
All the activities offered are optional because this retreat is first of all a well-deserved break for you! The program thus includes enough free time to relax, read, enjoy the sea and the natural beauty of the island, and connect with your inner self.

Leo, a certified yoga teacher, is passionate about movement, adventure, and the transformative power of yoga. His journey began in 2016 when this practice was for him an escape from the pressures of urban life and from demanding work. Yoga has thus become a transformative path that has not only helped him through difficult times, but has also given him strength and resilience. In 2021, Leo therefore decided to train as an Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher in Andalusia, to broaden his expertise.
Her teaching style harmoniously combines sequences inspired by Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hot Yoga. As a passionate climber, Leo integrates his love for climbing and hiking into the retreats he organizes, and the way he teaches yoga is also influenced by his travels and his love for nature. More recently, Leo took a mindfulness course out of personal interest and to be able to guide his students toward greater inner peace. His unwavering passion for Greece, in particular for Lesbos where he spent his summers as a child, testifies to his deep connection with this island that he can't wait to show you!
With 15 years of yoga practice behind her, elsa decided to deepen his knowledge on the philosophy and the benefits of yoga on body and mind by following a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher training course in Brussels in 2019. She has since graduated and also teaches other types of yoga such as Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, and Menopause Yoga.
Practicing a wide range of sports alongside yoga and daily meditation practice, Elsa strongly believes that exercising the mind as well as the body is crucial to reducing stress, feeling good about your body, being confident, focused and grounded.
With her experience teaching yogis of various levels and ages, Elsa has developed a didactic and caring approach that focuses on breathing, interoception, deep muscle strengthening, and joint alignment and mobility. She always adapts her courses to the needs and level of her students, and encourages everyone to explore their feelings rather than focusing on the form or the aesthetic side of the practice.
