Move with awareness, Grow with compassion

About Elsa

Elsa is the founder of YOGAZAZ and the Yoga retreats associated with it.

She first discovered yoga during an internship in Ethiopia in 2011. She was immediately drawn to the practice, which allowed her to reconnect with her body, move freely, and breathe consciously.

However, it was in 2019, during her first 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher training, that she truly discovered the depth and meaning of the word Yoga. This training transformed her understanding of yogic philosophy and its benefits for both body and mind, marking a turning point in the way she viewed the world and herself.

Yoga as a path of transformation

Meditation and the practice of Yoga have helped Elsa navigate several traumas and life transitions. Teaching Yoga has therefore become a passion, a way to connect with others, to continue learning, and to share what she has learned. Her intention is to offer her students practical tools to move through life’s more challenging periods with greater inner stability, and to cultivate a more harmonious relationship with both body and mind.

An inclusive and mindful approach

Every body is unique, and so is every journey.

It is from this understanding that Elsa has developed her teaching approach, adapting to different levels, ages, and experiences so that everyone can practice safely and at their own pace.

In her classes, Elsa guides each student with clarity and kindness, offering variations, adjustments, and precise cues. Her approach is rooted in creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where everyone can explore their abilities and develop a more conscious relationship with themselves.

Rather than focusing on performance or achieving the “perfect” posture, each student is invited to develop a subtle awareness of their body in the present moment in order to adapt their practice. This somatic awareness (interoception) becomes a valuable tool to better understand oneself, adjust effort, and cultivate lasting balance.

In this same spirit, breath awareness and meditation also play a central role in her classes. These tools help regulate the nervous system, calm the mind, and cultivate focus and presence. By combining movement, breath, and mindfulness, Yoga with YOGAZAZ becomes a moving meditation that fosters connection and harmony between body and mind.

Supporting women through life's cycles

Finally, yoga is for Elsa a way to honour feminine power and the Yin energy that flows within us and around us.

Having trained in prenatal and postnatal yoga in 2021, and in Menopause Yoga in 2023, she supports women through major life transitions: pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. Her approach aims to help each woman move through these stages with greater serenity, awareness, and self-confidence.
