Whether you are new to yoga or have been practising for years, returning to the foundations can transform the way you move on the mat.
In this masterclass, we will slow things down and explore the alignment principles behind some of the most common yoga postures and transitions, including Warrior poses, Triangle, Downward-Facing Dog and Chaturanga.
Rather than searching for one “perfect” shape, we will explore how alignment can help you practise in a way that is safer, more sustainable and better suited to your individual body.
Through clear explanations, demonstrations and guided practice, you will learn how to:
• create greater stability and ease in foundational postures
• understand where and how to place your feet, hands and joints
• engage the right muscles while avoiding unnecessary tension
• adapt each posture to your own body, mobility and proportions
• move through transitions with more awareness and confidence

Elsa has been teaching yoga in Brussels for over six years. For three of those years, she taught classes at Yoga Room specifically dedicated to beginners and yoga alignment.
Trained in several yoga approaches, she teaches a wide range of people, including adults of all ages, seniors, pregnant and postpartum women, beginners and experienced practitioners. This diversity has allowed her to develop an in-depth understanding of the body and a teaching approach attentive to each person’s needs, mobility and individual anatomy.
In her classes, Elsa favours clear explanations and mindful practice, helping each person find alignment that feels stable, comfortable and suited to their own body.
This masterclass is designed for beginners looking to build a solid foundation, as well as more experienced practitioners who want to revisit fundamental poses, refine their technique, and tailor the practice to their own bodies.
