Introduction

Menopause Yoga, created by Petra Coveney in the United Kingdom, is a holistic approach designed to support women through (peri)menopause by offering simple, effective, and accessible tools to help navigate this period of transformation. It promotes a positive and integrative vision of this stage of life, seen not as an ending, but as a bio-psycho-social-spiritual transition in a woman’s life.

Trained directly by Petra, Elsa will share her “toolbox” and Menopause Yoga techniques that help reduce stress and inflammation, which in turn can have a positive ripple effect on other menopause symptoms such as mood changes, irritability, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and insomnia. Although these psychological symptoms are less often discussed, they are very common.

Programme

To better understand the cause of symptoms such as mood swings, irritability, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and insomnia, and to learn how to better manage them, this workshop includes:

- A yoga session (adapted postures as well as breathing, relaxation and mindfulness exercices)

- A supportive and confidential sharing circle

- Scientific information and practical advice for daily life

- Resources for consultation

The aim of Menopause Yoga is to inform and empower women, enabling them to navigate the emotional, physical, and psychological changes they experience during menopause with more calm and confidence.

Expertise

Yoga Teacher

With 14 years of yoga practice behind her, Elsa decided to deepen her knowledge of yoga philosophy and its benefits for both body and mind by completing a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher training in Brussels in 2019. Since then, she has graduated in and taught several other styles of yoga, including Yin, Hatha, Rocket Yoga, pre- and postnatal yoga, and Menopause Yoga.

Alongside yoga and a daily meditation practice, Elsa also engages in a wide range of sports. She firmly believes that training the mind is just as important as training the body in order to reduce stress, feel good in one’s body, and cultivate confidence, focus, and groundedness.

Drawing on her experience teaching yogis of different ages and levels, Elsa has developed a caring and educational approach focused on breath, interoception, deep core strengthening, alignment, and joint mobility.

Specialised in supporting women, she accompanies major life transitions — pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause — with gentleness and respect for each person’s individual rhythm. Her classes are safe and supportive spaces where everyone is encouraged to honour the authenticity of their body and cultivate lasting inner balance.
